Uptown Dubai in July 2026: Business Lunches, Brunches and Staycations Worth Booking

Uptown Dubai in July

From brunches and themed nights to day escapes and sweets surprises, Uptown Dubai is the perfect summer destination.

Uptown Dubai is a strange one to explain to people who have not been. It is a tower, a plaza, a hotel and a handful of restaurants sitting just off Al Khail Road, close enough to JLT that most of the crowd is people who work there. Which is exactly why the July line-up is worth a look. This is not a beach club trying to convince you to spend AED 400 on a day pass. Most of what is on offer is priced for people who live here and are trying to get through a Dubai summer without a holiday.

There is a lot on. Three separate business lunches, an overnight stay that costs one dirham, a study club for kids doing online classes, and a matcha promotion that has quietly become the best value breakfast in the tower. Here is what is actually worth booking, with the prices and timings you need.

Breakfast, coffee and the AED 23 hack

Jones The Grocer Express: The Perfect Pair

Jones The Grocer Express breakfast

The simplest offer in Uptown and probably the one you will use most. Any coffee plus a croissant or a bagel for AED 23. If you work in Uptown Tower, that is your morning sorted for less than the price of a flat white in most of Dubai.

  • Where: Jones The Grocer Express, Uptown Tower. View on Google Maps
  • When: Daily, 7:30 AM to 12 PM, until 30 September
  • Price: AED 23
  • Good to know: It runs all summer, so there is no rush to catch it

Brasserie Uptown: Unlimited Breakfast

Brasserie Uptown Unlimited Breakfast

AED 59 for unlimited à la carte breakfast, with juices and coffee included. Not a buffet, which matters. You order off the menu and keep ordering, sweet or savoury, until you are done. For AED 59 in a five-star hotel restaurant, that is a genuinely good number.

  • Where: Brasserie Uptown, SO/ Uptown Dubai. View on Google Maps
  • When: Weekdays 7 AM to 10:30 AM, weekends 7 AM to 11 AM
  • Price: AED 59 per person
  • Bookings: WhatsApp 971 50 421 0579

Uptown Social: Matcha Month

Uptown Social Matcha Month

Matcha Month runs across July. Any matcha drink with a croissant or a blueberry muffin for AED 40. Uptown Social is the ground-floor cafe with the pet-friendly terrace, so it doubles as the spot where you can bring the dog and still get work done.

  • Where: Uptown Social, Uptown Tower. View on Google Maps
  • When: Throughout July
  • Price: AED 40
  • Good to know: Open 8 AM to 10 PM daily

WOW Emirates Expert Tip: Uptown Social has also relaunched its all day a la carte menu for the summer. New dishes include Turkish style eggs, prawn mango salad, Hawaiian chicken and a vegan lasagna, plus a classic French toast on the seasonal dessert list. Worth knowing if you wrote the place off as a coffee stop.

Three business lunches, three price points

This is where Uptown genuinely beats most of Dubai. Three business lunches within a five-minute walk of each other, at three different prices. Pick based on how much time you have and who you are trying to impress.

Uptown Social: AED 60, two courses

Uptown Social business lunch

The cheapest and the most casual. A rotating two-course menu, fresh and light, in a room that is more cafe than restaurant. Best for a solo lunch or a catch-up with a colleague where nobody is trying to close anything.

  • When: Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 3 PM
  • Price: AED 60 for two courses

Jones The Grocer Express: AED 67, salad plus a main

Jones The Grocer Express business lunch

Half a salad and one main course. Quick, balanced, in and out. This is the one for the day you have back-to-back meetings and 25 minutes to eat.

  • When: Daily, 12 PM to 4 PM, until 30 September
  • Price: AED 67

Lana Lusa: AED 99, three courses

Lana Lusa business lunch

The proper one. Three courses, Portuguese, in the SO/ Uptown lobby restaurant. If you are hosting a client and you want the meal to look like an occasion without booking a fine dining table, this is the pick.

  • Where: Lana Lusa, SO/ Uptown Dubai. View on Google Maps
  • When: Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 3 PM
  • Price: AED 99 for three courses
  • Good to know: Lana Lusa is closed on Sundays

WOW Emirates Expert Tip: At AED 99 for three courses, Lana Lusa is undercutting most of the DIFC business lunch circuit by a wide margin. Book ahead. The room is small and the reviews have caught up with it.

Evenings that do not require a big night out

Lana Lusa: The Lusa Hour

Lana Lusa happy hour

A new early evening slot, Monday to Friday, 5 PM to 7 PM. Cocktails and Portuguese and Mediterranean bites at sunset pricing from AED 39. It is aimed squarely at the Uptown Tower crowd walking out of the office at 5:30, and it works better than most happy hours because the food is actually the point.

  • When: Monday to Friday, 5 PM to 7 PM
  • Price: From AED 39

Uptown Social: Board Games and Brews

uptown social board games

Comfort food, drinks and a shelf of board games, free to use. It is a low-effort weeknight plan, which is the whole appeal in July when nobody wants to drive anywhere.

  • When: Throughout summer, from 6 PM
  • Price: Free access to the games

Uptown Social: Summer Is Better Together

Order two of the same summer drink and get 10% off. Small, but it stacks with everything else.

Sur. Dubai: Turkish 90s Night

Sur Dubai Turkish 90s Night

DJ Batu plays Turkish 90s hits at Sur, the terrace restaurant on Level 2 of the Atrium. The July dates are the 11th and the 25th, so there is one left this month. Sur has a 5.0 rating across 800-plus reviews, which almost never happens in Dubai, and the terrace at night is the reason.

Weekends: brunch, and a bed for one dirham

SO/ Uptown Dubai: Brunch and Bed

SO Uptown Dubai Brunch and Bed

The headline offer. Book the Tiger Brunch at Citronelle from AED 299 per person, and the overnight stay costs AED 1. Not a typo. It is an evening brunch, 7 PM to midnight, three hours of free-flowing drinks and Asian food, and then you go upstairs instead of arguing with a taxi app.

The stay comes with real inclusions, not just a room. You get 50% off spa treatments, 30% off dining across the hotel, pool and gym access, and breakfast at Brasserie Uptown at the AED 59 rate. Late checkout if they have space.

  • Where: Citronelle, SO/ Uptown Dubai. View on Google Maps
  • When: Friday and Saturday, brunch 7 PM to 12 AM
  • Price: Soft package AED 299 per person, stay for AED 1. Upgrade to the house package for AED 100 more per person
  • Includes: One night in a Collection Room for two, pool and gym, 50% off spa, 30% off dining
  • Book: sevenrooms.com

WOW Emirates Expert Tip: Do the maths. Two people on the soft package is AED 599 for brunch, a hotel room, and a discounted breakfast the next morning. That is less than most standalone Friday brunches in Dubai, before you have slept anywhere.

Lana Lusa: Casa Lusa Brunch

Lana Lusa Casa Lusa Brunch

The new Saturday afternoon brunch. Portuguese food, live entertainment, three hours. Three packages, so you can pitch it low or go all in.

  • When: Every Saturday, 1 PM to 5 PM
  • Price: Soft AED 300, house AED 425, premium AED 625

Staying longer: the resident and long stay rates

UAE Residents Stay Offer

UAE resident stay offer dubai

Rates from AED 599, and the package is built around eating your way across the property. A sundowner cocktail at Savant6, lunch or dinner at Lana Lusa, Brasserie Uptown or Lazuli, breakfast the next morning at Brasserie. Kids under 12 stay and eat free, and Kids Club access is included, which is what makes this one work for families rather than couples.

  • When: Ongoing
  • Price: From AED 599
  • Includes: Sundowner cocktail, lunch or dinner, breakfast, Kids Club, 50% off spa, 30% off à la carte dining
  • Good to know: Five-night stays get an Atelier Suite upgrade
  • Book: so-hotels.com

Long Stay Offer

Long Stay Offer at SO Uptown Dubai

Minimum 30 consecutive nights, with a choice of breakfast, half board or full board. Rates on request. Useful if you are between leases, doing a long project in Dubai, or you have simply decided that a serviced apartment with a pool is a better summer than your own flat.

For families: kids’ cooking and a study club

Lana Lusa: Kids’ Cooking Atelier

Lana Lusa Kids Cooking Atelier

Every Tuesday at 4 PM, kids cook a new dish. New recipe each week, basic kitchen skills, and the parents get to sit in a restaurant and not be needed for an hour.

  • Price: AED 95 per child, or AED 300 for a monthly package covering every session that month
  • Book: sevenrooms.com

Junior Study Club at SO/ Uptown Dubai

This one is more unusual. Kids doing online classes get a dedicated, supervised space in the hotel while a parent uses the hotel’s other spaces. AED 99 covers a lunch box for one child and lunch for one parent, and the kids get the outdoor pool once classes are done. Additional children are AED 25 each.

Working from the hotel instead of the office

SO/ Uptown’s Work from Hotel day pass is AED 99. That gets you a one-course business lunch, a soft drink, unlimited coffee, pool and gym access, and you can move between Brasserie Uptown, The Lobby, Savant6 and Lazuli during the day.

  • When: Weekdays, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Price: AED 99
  • Book: WhatsApp 971 50 421 0579

For AED 99 with lunch and a pool included, it is cheaper than a lot of coworking day rates in Dubai, and nobody is going to ask you to leave the sofa.
