The Lost World Aquarium is opening again on October 27 with revamped features that will take you to different worlds. At its core, the aquarium now spans over 14 immersive, interactive chambers, each with its own unique marine environment. From exploring coral reefs teeming with life to delving deep into the ancient underwater ruins that house rare sea creatures, the experiences are diverse and fascinating. The entire experience invites you to immerse yourself in a world of discovery and wonder.

What’s Inside the Lost World Aquarium?

Gone are the days of merely looking at marine life through glass tanks. The newly revamped Lost World Aquarium brings the ocean to life with cutting-edge technology. You will encounter over 1,900 LED panels and 55 high-powered projectors. Moreover, there are more than 140 speakers that enhance the experience, providing a cinematic dive into the depths of the sea.

One of the key features of this overhaul is the introduction of over 430 new marine species, bringing the total number of creatures to more than 65,000. The aquarium now houses a diverse range of marine life, including the Striated Frogfish, Axolotl, and Giant Pacific Octopus. Each of them resides in a custom-designed habitats that mimic its natural environment. Also, 14 revamped chambers tell a different story. 

Interactive and Engaging Exhibits

What sets the Lost World Aquarium apart from other attractions is its focus on interactivity. This new iteration incorporates engaging, educational tools that allow you to connect with the creatures you encounter.

One such feature is the Interactive Trident, a multi-sensory device that lets you unlock hidden content and secret underwater worlds. As you journey through the aquarium, you can use this tool to trigger special effects, revealing the secrets of each marine species and habitat. It’s an interactive experience that transforms the visit into an adventure of discovery.

In addition to this, the aquarium’s renowned live shows are getting a major upgrade. The “Return of the Trident” show, set in the Ambassador Lagoon, is a must-see. It features a captivating performance by expert breath-hold divers, choreographed to music and storytelling. 

Ticket Information: How to Visit the Lost World Aquarium

The Lost World Aquarium is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. For guests staying at Atlantis The Palm or Atlantis The Royal, access to the aquarium is free. For other visitors, ticket prices start from AED 125. An adult must accompany children under 12. Kids aged 3 – 7 get child pricing, ages 8+ need adult tickets, and kids under two can enter free.
