A new chapter on Sheikh Zayed Road has been written as Bavarian Beerhouse is opened at Towers Rotana – Dubai’s first fully authentic German restaurant and beerhouse experience. Big steins, crisp schnitzel, Dirndl-clad waitresses, and a year-round Oktoberfest atmosphere are being promised, and weekend plans across the city are already being rearranged (gently, of course).
The big pour: Germany’s draughts are being showcased
The city’s largest selection of ice-cold German draught beers is being featured – Paulaner, Erdinger wheat beers, Franziskaner, Spaten, and Löwenbräu are being poured, and even Jägermeister is being tapped (yes, on tap). Giant steins are being presented with theatrical flair, and beer lovers are being invited to treat the place like a very delicious museum.
A storied address is being refreshed with Bavarian charm
The space that was home to TEATRO for almost 25 years has been respectfully transformed. The venue is being fitted for 250 guests and is being styled with rustic Bavarian touches and warm hospitality. A setting that is cozy enough for dates, rowdy enough for gatherings, and theatrical enough for anyone who treats brunch like a competitive sport has been created.
Hearty classics are being served by an Austrian kitchen
A menu of traditional Bavarian favourites has been crafted by Austrian Head Chef Andreas and his team: crispy schnitzel, bratwurst that is designed to snap with every bite, and pork shanks that are being slow-cooked until tenderness is achieved. Pairings with freshly tapped beers, fine wines and bubbly are being recommended, and a Jägermeister on tap is being offered for the daring.

Oktoberfest energy is being delivered year-round
Table service is being provided by waitresses in traditional Dirndl dresses, ensuring that the spirit of Oktoberfest is felt throughout the year. As Sabine von Reth, Managing Director and Co-Founder, explained, “A true taste of Germany is intended to be brought to Dubai – not only through food and drink but through the spirit of celebration that Bavarian culture is known for.” The emphasis on gemütlichkeit – warmth, friendliness and cheer – is being made central to the experience.
Parties, themed nights & sports on giant screens
A lively calendar of events has been planned: Schnitzel Madness, Wednesday is the Wurst, weekend Oktoberfest parties with DJs and live bands are being hosted, and brunches and drunches are being rolled out (weekend brunches are being offered from AED 235). Bundesliga and German national team matches are being shown on giant screens, so matchdays are being enjoyed with the same volume as the music.

Founders, experience, and big plans
The concept is being led by Sabine and René von Reth, whose experience in the hospitality industry spans more than 20 years. Their Bavarian Beerhouse venues in London and Bristol were run for 15 years with large capacities and sizable teams, and that same spirit is now being transplanted to Dubai as the first step in a Gulf and global expansion. Close cooperation with German institutions and companies is being prioritised as growth is planned toward Abu Dhabi, the wider GCC and India.
From October 21–25, the world-famous Bavarian Band will be presented on stage. Dancing, clapping, and a hearty chorus of “Ein Prosit” are being absolutely encouraged.
Should a visit be planned?
If a recommendation is sought: a spot that mixes hearty comfort food, the largest selection of German draughts, lively themed nights, and a generous dose of Oompah-style entertainment is being offered on Sheikh Zayed Road. Whether a beer aficionado, a comfort-food fan, a sports supporter, or someone simply craving a good time, a visit to Bavarian Beerhouse is being warmly suggested.
