Global Village Eid al Adha 2026: Why Dubai’s Favorite Park and Its Biggest Holiday Had to Wait 13 Years to Meet

global Village Eid al Adha 2026

After 13 years get ready to celebrate Global Village Eid al Adha 2026 with lots of offers and family entertainment activities and more.

And what’s finally bringing them together this month?

Here’s a fun bit of trivia for your next dinner party. Global Village Eid al Adha celebrations haven’t been a thing for over a decade. The last time Dubai’s most-loved family outing overlapped with the UAE’s longest public holiday was back in Season 18. That’s 13 years of these two just… not lining up.

How? Blame the moon.

Why Global Village missed Eid Al Adha for 13 years

Global village Dubai

Global Village runs roughly from October to late May every year. It shuts down before summer because, well, have you tried standing outside in Dubai in June? Meanwhile, Eid Al Adha follows the Islamic Hijri calendar, which is a lunar calendar. And a lunar year is about 11 days shorter than a solar one. So every year, Eid al Adha drifts earlier by roughly a week and a half.

For over a decade, that drift meant Eid al Adha kept landing smack in the middle of summer, well after Global Village had packed up its pavilions and switched off the lights. The two just kept missing each other like a badly timed rom-com.

Until 2026.

This year, Eid Al Adha falls right in Global Village’s final week of Season 30. The park’s closing date is May 31, and the Eid long weekend slides in just before the curtain drops. Thirteen years of calendar tag, and they’ve finally caught each other.

What to expect at Global Village Eid al Adha 2026 celebrations

This is uncharted territory for anyone who’s visited Global Village in the last decade-plus. The park is going big on it.

The Al Mandoos Live Game Show takes over the Main Stage at 9 PM on May 27 and 28. It’s hosted by popular presenter Abdulla Esmaeel and built around interactive games and crowd participation. There will be lots of family-friendly chaos with prizes.

The cultural pavilions (90+ of them) are leaning hard into Eid shopping. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait pavilions have traditional abayas, jalabiyas, and festive attire. The India Pavilion stocks fabrics and textiles if you’re going the bespoke route. Morocco and Africa have skincare and natural products, and the Korea Pavilion is doing K-beauty picks. The Syria Pavilion offers premium olive oil and pantry staples, while the Turkey Pavilion focuses on handcrafted home decor.

Basically, if you need a last-minute Eid gift that isn’t a gift card, this is your spot.

There are over 250 dining options across the park. You can choose from Restaurant Plaza, the Floating Market, Happiness Street, and Fiesta Street. Whether you want a proper sit-down meal or a street food crawl with family, you’re sorted.

And here’s a sweet detail: during the first three days of Eid Al Adha, 100 lucky kids will receive special Eid gifts. Sounds amazing, right? No strings attached, just a nice touch to make the Global Village Eid al Adha 2026 experience feel like a proper celebration.

Global Village Eid al Adha 2026: Timings, Tickets, and What to Know

  • Timings: 5 PM to midnight, Sunday through Thursday. Open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Tickets: Starting from AED 25.
  • Blackout dates for weekday tickets: May 25, 26, 27, 28, and 31. So if you have the cheaper weekday pass, those won’t work during the Eid rush. Plan accordingly.
  • Tuesdays are reserved for ladies and families, except on public holidays. So if Eid falls on a Tuesday, that rule doesn’t apply.
  • Closing date: Sunday, May 31. That’s it. Season 30 wraps up

Why this Global Village Eid al Adha might not happen again soon

Look, Global Village during Ramadan or New Year’s is always a big celebration. But Global Village Eid al Adha? Nobody under 25 in Dubai has a memory of it. That alone makes it worth showing up for.

This is also the tail end of Season 30, a milestone season. And because of the way the lunar calendar keeps shifting, the next time Eid al Adha lines up with Global Village’s open dates could be years away again. The window is small, the timing is rare, and it’s not coming back next season.

If you were looking for a reason to squeeze one last visit out of this season, the moon just handed you one.
