Robots are taking over a cinema in Downtown Dubai, and this time it is not the film. Galaxy Robot Arena was unveiled at Reel Cinemas in The Dubai Mall on 28 October 2026, billed by its makers as the first robot arena inside a cinema anywhere in the world.
Think synchronised robot dance routines set to K-pop and local Dubai sounds, robot boxing and robots that draw. Tickets are not on sale yet, but here is what we know.
What is Galaxy Robot Arena?
Galaxy Robot Arena comes from Galaxy Corporation, the Korean entertainment and technology company that is home to K-pop star G-Dragon. It already runs a robot arena in Seoul and staged a humanoid robot campaign in New York’s Times Square. Dubai is its first Middle East venue and the base for its expansion in the region.
What you will see
- Robot dance shows: a troupe of robots dressed in outfits from different cultures, dancing to a mix of K-pop and local Dubai music before falling into perfect sync.
- Robot boxing: a hands-on experience where visitors interact directly with the robots.
- Drawing robots: robots that sketch, with visitors taking part.

Wow-Emirates Expert Tip: Pair it with a film. Reel Cinemas at The Dubai Mall has Dolby Cinema screens and Platinum Suites with reclining seats and in-seat dining, so a robot show plus a movie makes an easy half-day out of the heat, or out of the crowds on the Boulevard.
