Cove Beach Dubai: Day Pass, Brunch, Sunset and What to Expect at the New Location

Cove Beach Dubai

Cove Beach Dubai moved from Bluewaters to La Vie JBR in 2024 and the new beachfront has stronger sunset sightlines plus more space. Here is what a day at the relocated venue actually looks like, what it costs and how it stacks up against Azure, Zero Gravity and Drift.

Cove Beach left Caesars Palace Bluewaters in late 2023 when that property became Banyan Tree Dubai, then reopened at La Vie JBR in July 2024. With a longer beach stretch, a bigger pool deck, and the same Mediterranean kitchen. If you booked the old location and have been avoiding Cove since the move, here is what has actually changed and why it is worth a return visit.

Where Cove Beach JBR Sits Now

 Cove Beach JBR

Cove Beach is on the beachfront of La Vie at Jumeirah Beach Residence, on The Walk side, closer to the Marina end. The new venue spans 64,000 square feet across four levels, with a separate beachside restaurant, Sierra, opening for lunch and dinner. Park at La Vie’s basement garage with validated parking, or use the public JBR parking blocks and walk along The Walk for five minutes. The club faces the open sea, with a clear sightline to Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai, which means sunset views are stronger than at the old Caesars Palace.

The space is split into three zones. A dining terrace at the entrance, a pool deck running parallel to the beach, and a sand section with sun loungers and direct water access. Daybeds need a separate booking, and the pool deck loungers are first-come, first-served once the minimum spend is met.

How to Get There

The closest Dubai Tram stop is Jumeirah Beach Residence 2, a 10-minute walk away. The closest Metro station is Sobha Realty on the Red Line, followed by a tram transfer at Dubai Marina Tram Station or a 10-minute taxi ride. If you are driving from downtown, allow 25 minutes outside rush hour and 45 minutes between 5 PM and 7 PM.

Day Pass Options and Pricing

cove beach day pass in dubai

Cove Beach recently reduced its entry pricing, making it one of the most affordable fully redeemable beach club passes in JBR.

DayEntry PriceRedeemable?Extra Perk
Monday – ThursdayAED 100Fully on F&B15% off the total bill
Friday – SundayAED 150Fully on F&B10% off the total bill

Both passes include sunbed access. Your entire entry fee goes toward food and drinks, and you also get an additional discount on your total bill. That combination of a fully redeemable entry plus a percentage off your spend is rare in Dubai.

Daybeds for two start around AED 1,000 on weekends, with the spend included. Children under 12 enter free. Policies vary by day, so call ahead if you are bringing kids.

Opening hours: 12 PM to 9 PM daily.

Wow-Emirates Expert Tip: Front-row beach loungers stay quieter than the pool deck once the music kicks in around 2 PM. If you are coming to relax rather than to be in the middle of the energy, ask the host for the sand row when you arrive. Our day passes Dubai guide breaks down what each minimum spend gets you across the city.

The Food and Drink Experience

cove beach food experience

The menu carried over from Bluewaters with a small refresh. Wood-fired pizzas, pasta, a raw bar with tuna tartare and carpaccio, and grilled seafood mains. Portions are generous for a beach club, and the kitchen runs consistently across lunch and dinner.

Cocktails lean clean and easy rather than mixology theatre. Spritzes, frozen margaritas, a strong wine list by the glass, and a properly thought-through mocktail menu for non-drinkers. The truffle pizza and the burrata salad are the two dishes that come up most often in feedback, so order one of each to share before committing to mains.

Best Times to Visit

October through April is peak season, and the difference is enormous. Daytime temperatures sit comfortably in the mid-twenties Celsius from November through February, and the pool deck fills up by 12 PM on weekends. Summer months are cheaper and quieter, but the beach section becomes too hot to use comfortably between 11 AM and 4 PM from June through September.

For a calmer day, target an arrival on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon. Friday brunch and Saturday afternoon are the busiest sessions of the week, and walk-ins on those days rarely succeed.

Brunch at Cove Beach Dubai JBR

brunch at cove beach dubai

Cove runs a weekend brunch as a sharing-style food package with a tiered drinks menu covering house pours, sparkling, and selected cocktails. Pricing typically ranges from AED 350 to 650 (USD 95 to 177), depending on the package you choose. The branded Rendezvous brunch session has run on Sundays in the past, and the day rotates seasonally, so confirm on the booking page before you turn up.

Service is paced rather than rushed, which suits a four-hour session by the water. The DJ comes on around 2 PM, and the energy lifts gradually rather than going from quiet to loud in one jump. For a wider view of Saturday brunch options across Dubai, our brunch pillar covers price tiers, vibes, and which venues suit which crowds.

Wow-Emirates Expert Tip: The first hour of brunch is when the kitchen is at its sharpest and the restaurant is at its quietest. Booking the earlier slot rather than the second seating gives you a noticeably better food experience and the same number of hours by the water.

Ladies Night and Sunset Sessions

ladies night in dubai

Cove runs a midweek ladies’ night with a set number of complimentary drinks for women, typically on Tuesday or Wednesday. The night and drink count rotate, so check the booking page before going. Our ladies’ night in Dubai roundup tracks current offers, so you can compare before booking.

Sunset is the strongest time slot here. The sun drops behind the open sea, and Ain Dubai begins its light show shortly after, offering much better orientation than the old Bluewaters location. Arrive by 5 PM if you want a daybed or a front-row table for the sunset window.

How to Book and What to Wear

Bookings open 30 days in advance through the Cove Beach website. Walk-ins are accepted, but success is rare on weekends. The dress code is smart beachwear: swimwear and a cover-up at the pool, then changing into something nicer if you are staying for dinner.

Bring a card rather than cash, since most beach clubs in Dubai have moved to a cashless system. A 10 percent service charge is usually added to the bill, so additional tipping is at your discretion.

How Cove Beach JBR Compares to Other JBR Beach Clubs

If you are weighing Cove against the other JBR and Marina options, here is how the basics line up. Prices are indicative and shift seasonally, so confirm at the time of booking.
