Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, April 6, 2023: Abu Dhabi Festival continues its 20-year celebration with the return of its Ramadan Spiritual Music Series. A place for both established and emerging artists, the series invites artists from around the world to celebrate the spiritual values that bring people together. The fourth edition presents two digital releases by renowned Egyptian spiritual chanter Sheikh Mahmoud El-Tohamy. “Hymn of Passion” and “The Carpenter’s Daughters” will be aired on April 7th and 11threspectively at 10pm UAE timezonevia the Festival’s YouTube channel.
“Hymn of Passion”aims to present authentic Arabic poetry in a modern style while fusingArabic and international music. The work highlights the beauty of spiritual music and the Arabic language. The performance will feature talented artists such as Hani Shenouda, Sheikh Abdel Rahim Dowidar, Mahmoud Helal, and Georgina Helmy, alongside 30 musicians.
The digital release of El-Tohamy’s “The Carpenter’s Daughters” will include several famous poems in praise of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, from Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, and the countries of the Maghreb.
