In a significant shift to the landscape of Dubai’s roadside, petrol stations are set to transform as they will soon bear the names of brands. The Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) has initiated Project Landmark, opening avenues for companies to bid on the naming rights of service stations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Emarat’s Ambitious Project Unveiled at Museum of the Future
This groundbreaking project was unveiled over the first weekend of March at the Museum of the Future. Emarat currently serves over 8,000 vehicles daily and provides fueling services, along with amenities like restrooms, restaurants, and prayer facilities.
Potential Rebranding for 139 Stations
Under Project Landmark, Emarat aims to rebrand the 139 stations it operates in the UAE, inviting partnerships from local and international businesses. This move marks a departure from the conventional naming conventions of petrol stations, introducing a novel approach to branding and sponsorship opportunities in the region.
Strategic Initiative for Customer Satisfaction
Emarat emphasized that Project Landmark isn’t solely about sponsorship opportunities but also about enhancing customer happiness and satisfaction. Drawing parallels to similar initiatives, such as the RTA renaming of Dubai Metro stations, Emarat envisions a dynamic shift in the roadside infrastructure.
Director General’s Vision for Emarat
Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Emarat’s Director General, expressed his optimism about the project, highlighting its potential to bolster Emarat’s position as a leading oil and gas company in the Middle East. He articulated,
“Project Landmark goes beyond being just a commercial venture as it represents a strategic ecosystem that establishes a unique partnership model where customers are prioritized and recognized as key contributors to our success.”
As Emarat embarks on this ambitious endeavor, it seeks to not only redefine the roadside experience but also contribute to the economic vitality of Dubai and the UAE as a whole.
