Dubai has done it again, redefining luxury one cup at a time. The city has just unveiled what might be the world’s most expensive coffee. Yes, you heard that right! Julith Coffee Dubai, founded by Serkan Sagsoz, is far from your usual over-the-top indulgence. Priced at AED 3,600 per cup, this exclusive brew isn’t just about extravagance. It’s a rare, history-infused experience that only a select few in the world will ever get to taste.
World’s Most Expensive Coffee That Broke All Records

Julith Coffee Dubai, a homegrown specialty café nestled in the creative heart of Al Quoz, not far from other artisan brewers like Mood Coffee Dubai. They have secured the Nido 7 Geisha. A coffee so extraordinary that it shattered every benchmark in the specialty coffee world. At the prestigious Best of Panama auction held in August 2025, this washed Geisha varietal achieved an unprecedented 98 points. These are the highest scores ever recorded in the competition’s history. Six of the 22 international judges even awarded it a perfect 100 points. However, an accomplishment almost unheard of in specialty coffee evaluation.
The journey to bring this coffee to the city involved a fierce bidding war that lasted several hours and drew hundreds of participants from across the globe. After 549 bids, Julith emerged victorious, securing the entire 20-kilogram lot for approximately AED 2.2 million ($600,000). This sale set a new world record! Not just for the Best of Panama auction, but for the highest price ever paid for coffee at any auction worldwide, at $30,204 per kilogram.
From Volcanic Slopes to Your Cup
The Nido 7 Geisha beans originate from the volcanic slopes of Mount Barú in western Panama. They are grown in tiny micro-lots that yield only a few kilograms per harvest. This extreme scarcity, combined with Panama’s unique terroir features nutrient-rich volcanic soil. Moreover, significant temperature variations create an environment that produces coffee of unparalleled quality.
The Geisha varietal itself is the crown jewel of the coffee world. Moreover, famous for its floral aromatics and complex sweetness. Serkan Sagsoz, Julith’s head coffee roaster and three-time Turkish Barista Champion, describes the experience simply: “It’s like honey, delicate and sweet”.
An Experience at Julith Coffee Dubai
Julith Coffee plans to serve only around 400 cups of this precious beverage, ensuring its exclusivity remains intact. Julith Coffee Dubai has created two ways to experience this historic coffee. A single-cup service and the “Panama Geisha Experience,” a curated tasting designed for one to four guests.
The experience takes you through the coffee’s entire journey. From the remote, high-altitude farms of Panama to the meticulous roasting and brewing techniques. Each session is to educate and immerse you in the story behind the beans. Moreover, it will serve without sugar, milk, or theatrical flourishes that might distract from the coffee’s natural complexity.
“This is not a gimmick or marketing stunt,” says Sagsoz. “Nido 7 Geisha is a remarkable coffee that only a handful of people on the planet will ever taste. With so little of it in existence, every cup feels like a piece of history”.
Coffee Beans Reserved for Royalty
A small portion of the beans is reserved for the city’s ruling family. As Sagsoz expressed his hope to one day brew a cup for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Beyond this exclusive reserve, collectors and coffee enthusiasts from across Asia and the Emirates have already reached out seeking rare beans. However, Julith Coffee Dubai has keep the experience limited to what can be served at the café itself.
Where to Experience it in Dubai?
Julith Coffee Dubai is located at Warehouse 1, Al Manara Street in Al Quoz. The café operates Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm. The availability is only 400 cups, so book ahead for the experience.
