Last year’s record-breaking edition saw over 3,300 riders turning Dubai’s streets into a blur of spinning wheels and determined faces. And now? The 16th edition is back to do it all over again, kicking off from the sleek urban playground of Expo City Dubai for the main event, with all the Build-Up Rides happening at the ever-iconic Al Qudra Cycle Track. Think of it as your pre-race training ground… or a place to prove to your friends that, yes, you really have been working on your stamina.
Mark Your Calendars — and Maybe Your Legs Will Forgive You Later
The grand finale takes place on 14th and 15th February 2026, and it’s no ordinary spin around the block. This is a UCI Gran Fondo World Series Championship qualifier — meaning the top 25% in each age category get to trade Dubai’s sunshine for the breathtaking landscapes of Niseko, Japan in August 2026. Not a bad upgrade, right?
Enter: The Aster BIG 5
Here’s where things get spicy. Registration is officially open for the Aster BIG 5 competition — a series of four Build-Up Rides that’ll have you scaling your speed and endurance in perfect increments until you’re ready for the final 92km showdown. It’s basically the Netflix series leading up to the movie premiere, except your “binge” involves sweat, cadence, and maybe a post-ride smoothie.
Oh, and if you happen to crush it and emerge as the first male or female in your category, you get the iconic leader jersey. Translation: bragging rights on wheels. There’s also a Team Category, so grab five equally daring friends and turn it into a squad mission.

Entry to the Aster BIG 5 is AED 585 — and with it comes exclusive prizes, leaderboard rankings, series leader jerseys, and a bespoke finisher medal that’s basically a wearable mic drop.
