The festivities draw inspiration from the beauty of Mauritius at LUX* Grand Baie! This magnificent 5-star luxury hotel has concocted authentic moments inspired by local wonders to celebrate the end-of-year holidays. A gigantic Christmas tree has been crafted by talented Mauritian artists using coloured stained glass and recycled materials, highlighting the hotel’s values: elegance and sustainability with cultural appreciation.
Musical moments await on Christmas Eve, where a children’s choir will perform traditional songs. On 24 and 25 December, there will be choreographed performances inspired by local arts, wellness sessions, pool parties with renowned DJs, festive sundowners at Bisou and a ‘Christmas Around the World’ theme at Beach Rouge, an ode to different culinary cultures.
The younger ones will delight in PLAY, with exciting daily activities – a gourmet break at Maison Sikre offering traditional island delicacies, surprises at the Lobby Pop-up Stand before dinner and an interactive show with Santa Claus, elves and the fairy.
New Year’s Eve promises indulgent gastronomy from breakfast to dinner, meditation sessions, concert performances, PS5 challenges for teenagers, and a fireworks countdown to welcome the New Year.
Tamassa Bel Ombre: Fun Galore
The year-end celebrations at Tamassa Bel Ombre kick-off on 24 December morning with a festive breakfast at its signature SHOW restaurant followed by a sporty walk to discover the authentic village of Bel Ombre. The resort features ‘Grinch Pull’ Water Balloons at the main pool, pony rides, and magic shows at BBAR, among others. Gourmets will be presented with delectable dishes for a special Christmas Eve with a DJ spinning vibrant music.
On 25 December, guests will be immersed in the magical world of Christmas at Gros Roche with inflatable castles and giant slides, a Disney Christmas parade and a futsal match at Studio 17. Besides sumptuous Christmas breakfast and dinner buffets, children will have their own Christmas party at Tam Tam Club.
On 31 December, guests can get creative at the T-shirt painting session and an aqua gym session hosted by a DJ, followed by games and volleyball. After a bustling day, sunset aperitif and a trapeze show at the main pool, a New Year’s Eve gala buffet and vibrant fireworks are on the programme to ensure a unique ambience.
The 1 January starts a festive brunch, live musical trio and inflatable fun slides while the ‘Best of Tamassa’ evening performance at the Bandstage will ring in 2024 with style.
SALT of Palmar: Christmas Odyssey
SALT of Palmar offers an epicurean Odyssey stopover for the celebrations. From 24 December, tastebuds will be delighted at The Good Kitchen with the ‘Today’s Great’ breakfast. The adults-only hotel offers an immersive experience with the cultural and culinary tour activity, a mixology class at the Rooftop Bar and a signature dinner accompanied by a musical trio.
On 25 December, SALT invites guests to start the day with forest bathing at Bras D’Eau, including a guided hike, meditation session and stretches. A bath salt-making workshop is scheduled at SALT Equilibrium. Upon meeting Santa Claus on the beach, a four-course Christmas special awaits at The Good Kitchen.
On 31 December, a water lab at the beach, an aqua fit session at the pool, oysters tasting and champagne at the Rooftop Bar are planned before the sumptuous 5-course New Year’s Eve dinner. The evening continues with a violinist on the beach deck before DJ San takes over for an unforgettable night.
On New Year’s Day, forest bathing at Bras D’Eau is followed by a relaxing body scrub at SALT Equilibrium and signature SALT New Year’s dishes by The Good Kitchen. Sunny yoga is also on the lush lawn to start the new year in harmony.
LUX* Grand Gaube: Magic Begins!
LUX* Grand Gaube promises magical moments and memories. On Christmas Eve, the special programme ‘Santa Unleashed’ at The Palm Court restaurant is a unique celebration. Guests can enjoy a festive à-la-carte dinner in a fairytale atmosphere. Award-winning Bodrum Blue and INTI restaurants offer culinary feasts that will awaken tastebuds with authentic flavours. The party continues at INTI, where the after-party promises an upbeat dance night.
On 25 December, a mobility session at the Studio Mind, Body & Soul and an Ashtanga Yoga session at the Vitality Trail is planned. On 31 December, a Float Fit session will occur at the Banian pool, followed by a fun-filled water balloon battle at PLAY. LUX* Grand Gaube will bring joy to the children of World Light Kids orphanage this Christmas. The wishes of orphans will illuminate its lobby Christmas tree. Guests are invited to become Santa’s helpers on December 13 to send the children gifts and cheer.
