dubai summer surprises 2026 deals and offers

Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 edition runs a full 60 days, from Thursday 2 July to Sunday 30 August. Check out what interesting is there.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you about Dubai in July. While half the city is queuing at the airport to escape the heat, the other half quietly stays put and cleans up. Dubai Summer Surprises comes with various offers and gifts, such as cheaper hotels, up to 90 per cent off at malls, Dhs10 meals, cars, and cash. This year, an actual home is also up for a raffle giveaway. DSS 2026 edition runs a full 60 days, from Thursday 2 July to Sunday 30 August. It is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). Moreover, it is now in its 29th year, and this year’s theme is “Make it a Dubai Summer.” Here is what is worth planning around.

The sales at Dubai Summer Surprises

The main draw is the Great Dubai Summer Sale, with discounts of up to 90 per cent across hundreds of brands. It runs through the first half of the festival, so if you are planning a bigger shopping trip, the early weeks are the best time to go. After that, the Back to School campaign takes over from 3 to 30 August. It covers more than school supplies. You will also find deals on fashion, electronics, laptops and tablets, so it is a good window if you have been meaning to upgrade a device.

It is also worth keeping an eye on DSS Daily Surprises. These are one-day-only deals that are announced 24 hours in advance, so you need to check for them regularly if you want to catch them.

The raffles and prizes are worth looking at

A big part of Dubai Summer Surprises is the giveaways, and most of them are free to enter when you shop. The one getting the most attention this year is Win Your Home in Dubai, run by Dubai Chambers. It is giving away 12 residential units from Binghatti throughout the season. There are several others. The DSS Mega Raffle with ENOC offers the chance to win a 2026 Dongfeng 007 or a share of Dh500,000 in cash. The DSS Digital Raffle runs nine draws for Exeed cars across the summer. For jewellery shoppers, the City of Gold promotion enters anyone who spends Dh500 into a draw for 3 kilograms of gold. And the Lucky Receipt promotion gives daily prizes to shoppers who spend Dh300 or more, so it is worth holding on to your receipts.

Eating out for less during Dubai Summer Surprises

Two dates are worth marking down. Summer Restaurant Week runs from 13 July to 2 August, with set menus at restaurants across the city. It is a good chance to try places that are usually more expensive. Then the Dhs10 dishes offer returns from 3 to 30 August. Last year, this included food from a wide range of cuisines, and the full list of restaurants for 2026 is still being confirmed. So check closer to August before deciding where to go. If you plan it well, lining up a few of these in one evening is one of the best-value nights out of the whole festival.

Concerts and shows

The music line-up is strong this year. Beat the Heat DXB returns to Dubai World Trade Centre for its biggest run yet. Confirmed acts so far include Cairokee on 11 July, Dystinct and Issam Najjar on 18 July, and Rasha Rizk on 1 August. The biggest ticketed show is the Miami Musical Show, which brings Kuwait’s Miami Band to Coca-Cola Arena at the end of August. It is their largest staging outside Kuwait to date.

There is more across the calendar. A Candlelight Concert is at Madinat Jumeirah on 11 July, with comedy shows in the mix. And the new DSS Performing Arts Fest brings three weekends of live performances, parades and aerial acts to selected malls between 24 July and 16 August.

Dubai Summer Surprises For families

Modesh world for families at DSS

Modesh World returns to Dubai World Trade Centre from 3 July to 23 August, with its Fun Zone, Modesh Market and Family Zone. Modesh and Dana will also make appearances around the city. Beyond the rides, the Modesh Scholarship programme offers 10 scholarships of Dh20,000 each. There is also a Back-to-School Carnival on 7 and 8 August, featuring live performances; a Madagascar Parade at Dubai Festival City Mall; and a K-pop Demon Hunters pop-up at City Centre Mirdif from 9 to 19 July.

New this year: DSS Luxe Edition

For the first time, DSS is running a Luxe Edition. It is a premium strand of the festival with luxury pop-ups, exclusive brand previews and personalised services, aimed at shoppers looking for something higher-end rather than heavy discounts.

Summer Mallathon

The Summer Mallathon is back after proving popular last year. You run a 5km route through the shopping centres, indoors and fully air-conditioned, which makes it one of the few comfortable ways to exercise in August in Dubai.

How to make the most of Dubai Summer Surprises

A few practical tips:

  • Book your stay early. Dubai runs close to 100 staycation and attraction offers during the season, and hotel rates are at their lowest in summer.
  • Shop in the first half for the deepest sale prices, then use August for the Dhs10 dishes offer and the Back to School deals on tech and supplies.
  • Enter the raffles. They are free, and the Lucky Receipt draw only asks that you keep receipts you would usually throw away.
  • Check DFRE and Visit Dubai closer to each phase. Restaurant lists, mall promotions and show tickets are confirmed in stages through the summer, so it is worth booking the big concerts now and staying flexible on the rest.
  • Summer in Dubai is often seen as the season to get away from. With 60 days of sales, prizes, cheap food and lower hotel rates, staying can be a better choice.
