Sirene Beach by GAIA: Dubai’s Biggest Beach Club

Sirene Beach by GAIA Dubai's Biggest Beach Club

Sirene Beach by GAIA at J1 Beach Dubai has a pool and beach access from AED 200, fully redeemable along with a Greek-Mediterranean menu.

Sirene Beach by GAIA is the largest beach club on J1 Beach and, by most measures, one of the largest in the world. Over 9,000 square metres of Aegean-inspired architecture spread across a 400-seat restaurant, a temperature-controlled pool, 300 sunbeds, private cabanas, multiple bars, a fish market, a wood-fired oven and a Sunset Lounge with its own DJ booth and shisha terrace.

That sounds like a lot. It is a lot. But what actually makes Sirene work is that it doesn’t feel overwhelming when you are there. The space is divided into zones that flow into one another. You can spend the morning on the beach, move to the pool after lunch, eat at a restaurant table for dinner, and end up at the Sunset Lounge for cocktails and music. Each section has a different energy, and you drift between them without ever feeling like you have left one venue and entered another.

Experience At Sirene Beach by GAIA

The food comes from the same team behind GAIA in DIFC, one of Dubai’s most consistent Greek-Mediterranean restaurants. Chef Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin built the menu around the same principles: fresh seafood, simple preparation, ingredients that taste like they arrived this morning. The Seabream Carpaccio has followed from DIFC. The fish market has followed too. You choose your fish, and they cook it.

Sirene opened in late 2024 and picked up the Favourite Beach Club in Dubai award at the FACT Spa & Wellness Awards within its first year. Past visitors include Jennifer Lopez, Ronaldinho and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

All cabana pricing is fully redeemable on food and drinks.

A few things to know:

  • Pricing is current as of April 2026. Rates can shift seasonally, so confirm with the venue before visiting.
  • Sirene is popular. On weekends during the cooler months (October to April), book ahead. Walk-ins are possible on weekdays but not guaranteed a prime spot.
  • The pool is temperature-controlled, so it is comfortable year-round.
  • Service runs directly to sunbeds and cabanas. You do not need to get up to order.

WOW Emirates Pro Tip: The AED 200 beach pass is the best-value entry at J1 Beach for this level of restaurant and venue quality. Fully redeemable, so you are essentially paying nothing for access if you order lunch. The pool at AED 300 is worth the upgrade if you want to be closer to the DJ and the action.

The Menu Worth Getting Dressed For

menu at Sirene J1 Beach

The restaurant is run by Chef Izu Ani, who also leads GAIA in DIFC. The menu is Greek-Mediterranean with a heavy focus on fresh seafood and clean flavours. It is not a beach club menu pretending to be a restaurant. It is a proper restaurant that happens to be on a beach.

What to order:

  • Seabream Carpaccio (AED 225) – the GAIA classic. The fish is sliced thinly and reassembled into its original shape, served with three dressings: truffle, mandarin, and lemon. This is the dish you order first.
  • Prawn Saganaki (AED 145) – prawns in rich tomato sauce with confit shallots. Tear the house bread into it.
  • Cheese Pie (AED 140) – arrives as an inflated balloon of dough, pressed and sliced tableside, filled with truffle-laced Greek cheeses.
  • Rooster Pasta – a Sirene original, not on the GAIA DIFC menu.
  • Sirene Dakos – another Sirene-only creation. A take on the Cretan barley rusk salad.
  • Frozen Yoghurt – a GAIA signature dessert that has crossed over.
  • Caviar & Oyster experience – the premium option for special occasions.

The fish market: Sirene has an in-house fish market, a concept carried over from GAIA DIFC. You choose your catch from the display, and it is prepared grilled, baked or dressed. A dedicated fish sommelier (the only one in Dubai) guides you through the daily selection.

WOW Emirates Pro Tip: If you are doing a group lunch, order the Seabream Carpaccio, the Prawn Saganaki and a fish from the market to share, plus the Greek salad and the cheese pie. That covers the best of the menu without over-ordering. Budget around AED 350-500 per person for a full lunch with drinks.

Six Venues in One

Sirene Beach by GAIA is designed as a multi-zone venue rather than a single pool-and-beach setup. Here is what each area offers and who it suits.

The Beach – 300 sunbeds along J1’s coastline. The most relaxed zone. Quieter during the week, busier on weekends. AED 200 entry, fully redeemable. Best for anyone who wants calm and sea access.

The Pool – Temperature-controlled, framed by landscaping and cabanas. Closer to the restaurant and the DJ setup. The energy picks up here from mid-afternoon. AED 300 entry, fully redeemable. Best for social groups and couples who want the buzz without the sand.

VIP Cabanas – Private, shaded spaces for groups of up to 8. Dedicated service, champagne, and fruit. Positioned between the pool and the beach. From AED 5,000 on weekdays. Best for birthdays, celebrations or groups who want their own space.

The Restaurant – 400 seats, indoor and outdoor. The indoor section is climate-controlled with Aegean-inspired decor: Greek arches, mosaics, heritage stone walls, draped fabrics. Designed by First Within (London). The outdoor terrace faces the sea. Best for dinner and long lunches when you want to sit at a proper table.

Sunset Lounge – Next to the DJ stage. Cocktail bar, dance floor, shisha. This is where the energy concentrates from late afternoon into the evening, especially Friday to Sunday. Happy Hour runs from 7 PM on weekends. Best for golden hour drinks and anyone who wants to extend the day into the night.

Pool Bar – Swim-up bar at the pool for drinks without leaving the water. Best for exactly what it sounds like.

The Honest Take

Sirene Beach by GAIA serves a wider range of visitors than most beach clubs because of zoning. It is not strictly a party venue, nor is it strictly a quiet pool day. The beach is calm. The pool is social. The Sunset Lounge is where the energy builds. You choose your zone based on your mood.

It suits couples, groups, solo visitors and older demographics well. Families with children are welcome during the day. It is less suited for anyone who wants a nightclub-style pool party (go to Bohemia or O Beach for that).

The crowd is international and well-dressed. This is a Jumeirah 1 audience, which skews slightly more polished than the JBR or Marina beach clubs. You will not feel out of place if you are here for the food rather than the scene.

Reservations and Contact

Book ahead for weekends. Weekday walk-ins are usually fine for beach access, but the restaurant fills up for dinner.
